1. Service Description

GalpiDock is a Chrome/Whale browser extension that replaces your new tab page with a customizable dashboard. It provides bookmark and web clipping management tools along with various widgets including Clock, Weather, Search, Calendar, Memo, and Quote.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using GalpiDock, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please uninstall the extension.

3. Data We Access

GalpiDock accesses the following data to provide its functionality:

Google Account Information — When you optionally connect Google Calendar, we access your Google account via OAuth 2.0 to retrieve calendar events.
Bookmarks — Your browser bookmarks are read and managed to display them in the bookmark widget.
Browsing History & Top Sites — Read to display recently visited and most visited sites.
Widget Settings & Memo Content — User-created content such as memos, layout preferences, and widget configurations.
Location Data — Approximate location is used only when the weather widget is enabled.

4. How We Use Your Data

All data accessed by GalpiDock is used solely to provide the extension's features:

Bookmark and browsing data are used to display your personalized dashboard.
Google Calendar data is fetched and cached locally (up to 5 minutes) to display upcoming events.
Location data is sent only to OpenWeatherMap to retrieve weather information.
All settings and user content are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.

We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal data to any third party beyond what is described above.

5. Third-Party Services

GalpiDock integrates with the following third-party services:

Google Calendar API — Used only when you explicitly connect your Google account.
OpenWeatherMap API — Used only when the weather widget is enabled.

Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you create within the extension (memos, bookmarks, etc.).
You must not use the extension for any unlawful purpose.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

7. Limitation of Liability

GalpiDock is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

We are not liable for any data loss resulting from browser updates, extension uninstallation, or device issues.
We are not liable for any interruption or unavailability of third-party services (Google Calendar, OpenWeatherMap).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this extension.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the extension (which is free).

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using GalpiDock at any time by uninstalling the extension. Uninstallation removes all locally stored data associated with the extension.
